Artist's Comments

UPDATE: Reprocessed adding a levels adjustment and removed the border.

Until the beach was full of people running around, doing yoga, kick boxing, and exercising I couldent belive how many people were there :faint:

First shot to be uploaded from my trip to Sydney, Taken at Coogee Bay at around 6 in the morning of the rock baths there. Dont worry i dident have any ice cream there XD Yea i know that was ages ago but i couldn't help myself

Im very happy with the shots i got, the sunrise wasent that spectacular but this was the best it got, it only lasted for about 20 minutes, so waking up at 4 and driving there and setting up in the dark was worth it :D Big thanks to my dad for that :highfive:

After i had packed everything back up in the car i decided to go for a uni-cycle ride and saw 2 other photographers walking around 30 minutes after the sky had closed up into an over cast day. I couldn't help but feel sorry for them, they looked so disappointed if only they where there half an hour earlier :lmao:

I was inspired to go here by :iconkaton241162:'s [link] and :iconsun-seeker:'s [link]

Location: Coogee Bay, Sydney, Australia
Camera: Pentax k100d
Lens: Sigma 18-125mm f/3.5
Filter: Hoya UV

Editing:
Minor raw adjustments, minor adjustments to the sky with curves

Update: changed the border after a couple of people said they dident like it, along with the horizon being straightened by 0.06 of a degree.

Love the shot Nathan. Was it high tide?

You are very lucky that your Dad was willing to take you there so early, although I know that I did would still do things like that for my children :-)

We often miss the small things in life as we rush through the day doing whatever we need to do to survive in this hectic world.

Thanks Malcolm, yup  it was going out though, i had to quickly grab my tripod and jump back a couple of time as not to get wet.
